Platinum Halfbeak

Platinum Halfbeaks are a unique live bearing fish with a body shape similar to that of a gar! These guys only grow to be about 2 inches in length, spending most of their time swimming at the top water level. A 20 gallon LONG tank or larger is preferred for them as they can get spooked, run into the glass and break their beaks if there is not enough room to escape! They are also known to jump, so a lid is recommended, other ways to make them feel safe is to add live plants to your aquarium! They're relatively hardy and have an easy time adapting to new water conditions. Temperature range: mid 70s (F)
